As an expansion to the design of Capital One’s new headquarters at a major mixed-use development in Tysons, Virginia, a boutique hotel was added to accommodate corporate lodging. The project expanded even further to now accommodate the public in addition to Capital One travelers. It occupies 23 floors and contains 300 rooms with an associated bar, restaurant and lounge areas. Working with the architectural firm Gensler, MPB provided both base building and the hotel’s interior acoustical design services.
This project is a 2022 IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter Premiere Design Award winner in the Hospitality category.
